Under CEA-FIRST, the IRC-FNSSA governance community will hold its first kick-off meeting on 14 April 2026 (online), marking the start of operational implementation under the renewed FNSSA Roadmap.

The meeting will orient newly nominated members, present the role of the Secretariat, and establish interim coordination arrangements. Draft operational tools—including the Roadmap–FWG alignment matrix, MEL framework, and preliminary risk framework—will be shared for feedback. Participants will also agree on a 90-day onboarding roadmap leading to initial Joint Work Programme (JWP) concepts and a follow-up meeting after Roadmap finalisation.

Expected outcomes include a shared understanding of governance roles, clarity on Secretariat functions, initial engagement with delivery tools, agreement on a mid-2026 governance meeting, and adoption of a Launch Communiqué.

Participants will include IRC governance bodies, Anchor Institutions, the Secretariat, AU–EU HLPD representatives, and key stakeholders from AU and EU institutions, funders, and partner organisations.
